This is a small but very powerful book. Anything written by Lilias Trotter is deep and intimate. Highly recommend this book as a gift to those who are serious about their relationship with Christ. Kingsley always has the best prices and quick shipping.

This book is an excellent sequel-of-sorts to Parables of the Cross, speaking of the seed growing in the seed vessel and how the vessel itself has to die and become nothing in order that the seed may grow to fullness. It's just how the Spirit of Christ works in us: the seed growing in my weak, broken vessel, to take over and make my life solely an outpouring of His life, nothing of myself. (And the paintings are so well-done and good for illustrating her points.)

I'm really grateful that Kingsley Press has made this book affordable, esp. since it's kind of a rare book and there aren't many published forms, so they could sell it for more if they wanted to. I appreciate the affordability so much, guys. 

Also, the customer service was absolutely stellar. There was some trouble with my address because I accidentally put part of it in wrong when ordering, and the fellow who helped me out was very gracious and helpful. This is a very insightful book into the Christian life. The illustrations from plant life (both the paintings and the thoughts) are beautiful. This is definitely a book to read and re-read.

Parables of the Christ-Life by E. Lilias Trotter is a phenominal summing up of living in, by and through Jesus' Life. Ms. Trotter uses the 'picture' of the seed going into death, with Life the result to convey the Life-giving work of the Cross in and believer. Truly a life changing book.
