Today we added Candle in the Dark, The Story of William Carey, a powerful film from the Christian History Institute which depicts the life and labors of the missionary to India who has become known as “the father of modern missions.” If you’re like me, you’ll be choking back the tears as this drama powerfully brings home the tremendous sacrifice that Carey underwent to bring the Gospel to India. Also added today was God’s Outlaw, The Story of William Tyndale. This is the true story of the life and work of “the father of the English Bible.” Because of his burning passion to translate the Bible into the English language, William became the most wanted man in England and all Europe. He was pursued and eventually captured and burnt at the stake, but his work paved the way for the Reformation in England.
